Since 1991, Club Creole has annually hosted our Gala, a charitable exhibition spotlighting the cultural diversity and beauty of the Haitian people. This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 23rd. The theme is Creole Soiree, where our focus is on vibrant performances that showcase cultural diversity throughout the Black diaspora, presented through art and various performers.
Following challenges in hosting the event last year, our primary goal is to exceed the scale and impact of previous Galas. We are reintroducing the philanthropic aspect by aiming to donate the event's profits to a non-profit organization. In 2017, our organization supported the remote Haitian K–12 school, Ecole Communautaire de la Semence, raising around $1,200 for supplies, food, and essentials. Currently, we are in the process of selecting a non-profit organization that specifically focuses on the educational development of Haitian students. Our goal is to raise at least $1000 and, more importantly, to raise awareness about the current situations unfolding in Haiti.
